The fill is the same shredded CertiPUR-US memory foam and polyester fiber blend as the adult Easy Breather, in a smaller quantity inside a smaller shell. The fiber in the blend is what let the loft come down smoothly during testing rather than dropping away in steps, because it keeps the foam pieces from packing together as fill is removed.

The side zipper is the practical difference from the adult version. It runs along the long edge rather than the end, which makes reaching into a smaller pillow easier, and a storage bag comes in the box.
