Motion Isolation

Motion isolation refers to a mattress’s ability to absorb and minimize the transfer of movement from one part of the bed to another. This feature is particularly crucial for couples or anyone sharing a bed, as it determines whether you’ll be disturbed by your partner’s movements throughout the night.

Poor motion isolation can lead to sleep disruption when your partner changes positions, gets in or out of bed, or even shifts slightly. For light sleepers, good motion isolation can be the difference between restful sleep and constant nighttime awakenings.

I conducted a partner simulation test with the assistance of a colleague. While I lay on one side of the mattress with my eyes closed, my colleague entered and exited the bed, changed sleeping positions, and moved around on the opposite side.
