Every mattress we recommend is tested hands-on by Dr. Jordan Burns, DC, MS, using our standardized product testing methodology. Each mattress is evaluated using the same criteria, including support, pressure relief, cooling, motion isolation, edge support, responsiveness, and overall value, so every recommendation is directly comparable. Our rankings are based on firsthand testing, consistent scoring, and regular updates as products change, not on manufacturer marketing claims.

The FORM Core is a 10-inch all-foam mattress built around GelGrid™ with Integra-Mesh™ reinforcement — an open-cell grid structure that flexes under pressure, channels heat continuously, and recovers in approximately one second versus five to ten seconds for traditional memory foam. The StableCore™ high-density foundation maintains structural integrity over the long term. Reviewed by Dr. Jordan Burns, DC, MS — board-certified chiropractor and certified sleep science coach — the Core earns a 9 out of 10 overall.

Key Takeaways

  • The GelGrid™ + Integra-Mesh™ comfort layer flexes precisely at pressure points while the mesh reinforcement prevents the lateral wobble common in other gel-grid designs, delivering stability and responsiveness simultaneously.
  • Responsiveness earns an 8 out of 10 — surface recovery clocked at approximately one second across all zones, significantly faster than traditional memory foam, though slightly below a pocketed coil or Talalay latex system.
  • Motion isolation earns a perfect 10 out of 10: partner-disturbance testing produced a disturbance rating of 2 out of 10 across all movement types, with only getting in and out of bed registering at all.
  • Edge support earns a 9 out of 10 — exceptional for an all-foam design, though a hybrid with reinforced perimeter coils provides a firmer, more defined edge under concentrated seated weight.
  • Cooling earns a 9 out of 10 — the open grid cells maintain active ventilation pathways under body weight, unlike foam cooling technologies that compress closed under pressure.
  • The FORM Core carries CertiPUR-US®, GREENGUARD Gold, and OEKO-TEX® certifications, is fiberglass-free and Made in the USA, and is backed by a 365-night trial and lifetime warranty.

With specialized training in sleep science and spinal health, Dr. Jordan Burns, a board-certified chiropractor and certified sleep science coach, evaluates how the FORM Core mattress delivers on its promises of cooling, pressure relief, and structural support for a wide range of sleepers.

Drawing from his experience treating patients with sleep-related pain and temperature sensitivity, Dr. Burns methodically tests the FORM Core across every major performance category — including response time, motion isolation, edge support, and cooling — using a combination of clinical observation and hands-on testing protocols.

His analysis pays particular attention to the GelGrid™ + Integra-Mesh™ system at the heart of the mattress, a proprietary technology that distinguishes FORM from other gel-grid options on the market by reinforcing the grid’s structure to eliminate the surface wobble that has historically been a weakness of grid-style mattresses.

Dr. Burns notes that the all-foam construction makes the FORM Core a compelling option for sleepers who want the adaptive, pressure-relieving benefits of a grid layer without the added complexity or cost of a hybrid coil system, and that the mattress performs especially well for those who run hot or who share a bed with a restless partner.

The FORM Core is FORM’s entry-level mattress, and it delivers more than you might expect from that designation. It’s an all-foam mattress built around the company’s GelGrid™ technology — a gel-based grid layer reinforced with Integra-Mesh™ — and it earns strong marks across nearly every performance category I test. Motion isolation is a particular standout, and the cooling and breathability are genuinely impressive for an all-foam design.

The mattress is best suited for side and back sleepers who want a hugged-but-not-stuck feel, and it’s especially worth considering for hot sleepers and couples who need to minimize partner disturbance. At its sale price, it also represents solid value for what it delivers.

The one category where I’d note some nuance is edge support. The GelGrid™ system does a better job here than most all-foam mattresses, but sleepers who sit on the very edge frequently or who spend a lot of time near the perimeter may notice some softening compared to a hybrid with reinforced perimeter coils. That said, it still earns a 9 out of 10 from me in that category, which is genuinely impressive for an all-foam design.

WHO IS THE FORM CORE BEST FOR?

  • Back and Side Sleepers: The gel grid layer flexes at the shoulders and hips while providing firmer resistance under the lumbar region. Back sleepers get consistent contact along the lower back without excessive hip sinkage. Side sleepers get enough give at the pressure points to prevent numbness and joint discomfort while the denser foam foundation keeps the spine in a neutral position.
  • Hot Sleepers: The open cells in the grid layer stay open under body weight, creating continuous airflow throughout the night rather than just at first contact. Combined with the breathable cover, the thermal performance is a meaningful step up from traditional memory foam. If heat has been your recurring complaint with foam mattresses, this construction addresses it at the source.
  • Couples: Motion isolation scored a 10 in my testing, which is the highest mark I give. The mesh reinforcement woven into the grid layer contains surface movement locally rather than letting it ripple across the mattress. One partner getting in and out of bed, shifting positions, or moving during the night is unlikely to register on the other side.
  • Sleepers Who Move During the Night: The grid recovers almost immediately after pressure is removed, so position changes happen smoothly rather than feeling like you’re pulling yourself out of the surface. For anyone who shifts between back and side sleeping throughout the night, this makes a real difference in sleep continuity.
  • Budget-Conscious Shoppers Who Don’t Want to Compromise on Materials: The FORM Core carries CertiPUR-US®, GREENGUARD Gold, and OEKO-TEX® certifications, is fiberglass-free, and is made in the USA. At its sale price it delivers a level of material quality and performance that is hard to match in the all-foam category.
  • Risk-Averse Buyers: The 365-night trial is one of the longest in the industry, and FORM charges no restocking fees on returns. For anyone uncertain whether a grid mattress will suit them, a full year to evaluate without financial penalty is about as low-risk as a mattress purchase gets.

Inside the Mattress

Understanding what’s inside a mattress is essential. The materials and construction are what determine comfort, longevity, and whether you’ll wake up feeling rested or stiff. The FORM Core is built around four distinct layers, each serving a clear purpose.

At the top is the AeroWeave™ Cover, which is cool to the touch and designed for breathability. This isn’t just a cosmetic choice — the cover actively contributes to the mattress’s ability to dissipate heat, and you notice it the moment you lie down.

Below the cover is the main event: the GelGrid™ + Integra-Mesh™ layer. This is what makes FORM different from both traditional foam mattresses and other grid mattresses on the market.

The GelGrid™ is a gel-based grid structure with thousands of open cells that flex under pressure and allow heat to escape continuously.

What sets it apart from other grid designs is the Integra-Mesh™ reinforcement — a proprietary mesh woven into the grid layer that eliminates the “jiggle” or wobble that has been a common complaint with gel grids. The result is a surface that feels stable and responsive rather than springy or unstable.

Beneath the GelGrid™ is the ContourFlex™ Transition layer, which bridges the gap between the adaptive grid above and the firmer foundation below.

This layer smooths out the feel and prevents any abrupt transition from soft to firm. In my testing, it contributes meaningfully to the pressure-relieving quality of the mattress — particularly for side sleepers who need graduated support from shoulder to hip.

At the base is the StableCore™ Foundation, a high-density foam layer designed to maintain the mattress’s shape year after year. It provides the structural backbone that keeps everything above it performing consistently over the life of the mattress.

The FORM Core is also a fiberglass-free mattress and carries CertiPUR-US®, GREENGUARD Gold, and OEKO-TEX® certifications, which means the foams meet strict standards for chemical safety and indoor air quality. That matters to me both as a clinician and as someone who evaluates sleep products for a living. Made in the USA.

Testing Sleep Positions

Finding a mattress that supports your preferred sleep position is essential for quality rest and preventing pain. Each position places different demands on a mattress, so I evaluate each one deliberately rather than just lying down briefly and moving on. Below is what I found.

For side sleeping, I spent multiple extended sessions on both my left and right sides, noting pressure at the shoulder, hip, and waist. The GelGrid™ allowed my shoulder to sink in just enough to take pressure off the joint without losing alignment.

My hips were supported without feeling like they were bottoming out, and the gap between my waist and the mattress was filled appropriately — which matters for keeping the lumbar spine neutral.

I also tested this with a straight-edge alignment check using a colleague observing from the side. Spinal alignment held well in this position. After an hour of continuous side sleeping I had no numbness, no shoulder pain, and no hip pressure.

For back sleeping, I paid particular attention to lumbar contact. I placed my hand between my lower back and the mattress to check for gaps that would indicate unsupported curvature. The FORM Core provided consistent contact along the entire lumbar region without allowing the hips to sink too deeply.

The GelGrid™ gave a sense of active response in the lower back rather than passive give — it pushes back proportionally to the pressure applied, which is clinically what you want in a back sleeping mattress for maintaining the natural lumbar curve during sleep.

For stomach sleeping, I tested over two full nights in this position. The medium feel of the Core allowed my midsection to sink slightly more than ideal, creating a mild hammocking effect in the lower back after about 30 minutes.

By morning I had some low-grade lumbar stiffness. Placing a thin pillow under my hips corrected most of this. I don’t recommend the FORM Core as a first choice for dedicated stomach sleepers, but occasional stomach sleeping is manageable.

Testing it as a mattress for combination sleeping, I ran a deliberate transition sequence — back to side, side to stomach, and back again — tracking both the effort required and how quickly the mattress adapted to each new position.

Because the GelGrid™ recovers almost immediately rather than retaining an impression of your last position, transitions were smooth throughout. The mattress doesn’t resist movement or create that brief unsupported moment you can feel on slower-responding foam surfaces.

Responsiveness

8/10

Responsiveness refers to how quickly a mattress adapts when you change positions and how readily it returns to its original shape after pressure is removed.

This matters more than most shoppers realize. When you roll from your back to your side during the night, a slow-responding mattress leaves parts of your body temporarily unsupported while the surface catches up to your new position.

Over a full night of natural movement, that lag adds up — it can pull you out of deep sleep, create brief periods of spinal misalignment, and make position changes feel like effort rather than something that happens unconsciously.

For combination sleepers especially, a responsive surface is the difference between sleeping through transitions and partially waking during them.

I tested responsiveness using my standard two-part protocol. First, the medicine ball drop test: I dropped a 10-pound ball from 12 inches above the mattress surface in multiple locations — center, left third, and right third — and timed how long the surface took to fully recover its shape after removal.

Across all three areas, the FORM Core recovered in approximately one second. For reference, a traditional memory foam mattress typically takes five to ten seconds to fully recover. The GelGrid™ behaves more like latex in this regard, which is a significant advantage for anyone who shifts positions during the night.

Second, I ran a position-change sequence, moving through back, side, and stomach positions at 30-second intervals for a total of 10 minutes while noting any resistance or lag.

The GelGrid™ adjusted immediately to each new position without creating the momentary “catch” you sometimes feel on dense foam surfaces. Getting out of bed was also notably effortless — there was no sensation of needing to extract myself from the surface.

The 8 out of 10 score reflects that while the GelGrid™ is meaningfully faster than memory foam, it does have a slight ceiling compared to Talalay latex or a pocketed coil system. For the vast majority of sleepers this difference won’t be perceptible in practice. It’s a consideration worth noting, not a real-world problem.

Motion Isolation Score

10/10

Mattress motion isolation is one of the most important features for couples, and it’s the category where the FORM Core earns its highest mark. When one partner moves, gets up, or adjusts during the night, a mattress with good motion isolation absorbs that movement rather than transmitting it across the sleep surface.

I ran three tests. First, the water glass test: I placed a full glass of water on one side of the mattress and performed a series of increasingly vigorous movements on the opposite side — sitting down, changing positions, rolling over, and dropping my full body weight onto the mattress.

The water barely moved, even during the most aggressive tests.

Second, I used 10-pound medicine balls placed at measured distances from the point of pressure. Pressing down firmly produced almost no detectable movement in the balls, even when they were placed just 10 to 12 inches away from the impact point.

Third, I ran a partner simulation with a colleague: one person lay still with eyes closed while the other performed a standard sequence of movements — rolling over, getting in and out of bed, sitting up and lying back down.

The person lying still rated disturbance consistently at 2 out of 10 across all movement types. Only getting in and out of bed registered at all, and even that was described as barely noticeable.

What makes this result particularly impressive is that the gel grid construction also delivers good responsiveness. These two qualities usually work against each other — materials that isolate motion well tend to be slow and dead, while responsive materials tend to transfer more movement.

The mesh reinforcement woven into the grid layer is what resolves this tension. It contains motion locally without sacrificing the grid’s ability to respond quickly to pressure changes. The result is a mattress that handles both well, which is genuinely uncommon at this price point.

Edge Support

9/10

Edge support gets overlooked in mattress shopping, but it affects daily life in ways that become obvious quickly once you own a mattress with poor perimeter stability.

The most practical impact is usable surface area. A mattress that collapses near the edges forces both sleepers toward the center, effectively shrinking a queen into something closer to a full.

For a couples’ mattress this is a real problem. Beyond sleep surface, edge support matters every time you sit on the side of the bed to get dressed, put on shoes, or push yourself to standing.

If the edge compresses dramatically under your weight, that moment is unstable and, for anyone with back pain or mobility limitations, potentially difficult. A firm, stable perimeter also tends to indicate structural integrity throughout the mattress, not just at the border.

I tested mattress edge support through three protocols. The sitting test involved positioning myself directly on the perimeter at multiple points — the middle of each long side and both corners — sitting upright as you would when getting dressed or transitioning in and out of bed.

The edge compressed under my weight but held its form. I didn’t feel like I was sliding off, and the perimeter provided a stable, functional platform throughout. I held each position for several minutes to assess whether support degraded over time. It didn’t.

The lying test involved positioning myself progressively closer to the edge in both back and side sleeping positions, eventually with my shoulder and hip right at the perimeter.

Even at the very edge, I felt adequately supported and didn’t experience the roll-off sensation that is common with softer all-foam mattresses. The surface remained consistent rather than tapering off sharply near the border.

I also performed a pressure recovery test, pressing firmly along various points of the perimeter and observing how quickly the edge returned to its original shape. Recovery was consistent across the full perimeter, with no weak spots at the corners.

The 9 out of 10 reflects one honest limitation: this is still an all-foam mattress, and a hybrid with dedicated reinforced perimeter coils will give you a harder, more defined edge under concentrated sitting weight.

If you have mobility issues and rely heavily on the mattress edge to push yourself to standing, that distinction matters and the hybrid is worth considering.

For most sleepers, the FORM Core’s edge performs well above what you’d expect from an all-foam design.

Cooling & Breathability

9/10

I evaluated cooling in four ways. First, a simple contact test: I placed my palm flat on the cover for a full minute. It stayed cool throughout rather than warming up, which tells you the cover is doing real work rather than just feeling cool for the first few seconds.

Second, I ran an extended lie-down test — 90 minutes on my back in a room held at 70 degrees, assessing perceived temperature every 15 minutes. The surface stayed between cool and neutral the entire time. I never crossed into warm territory, which is not something I can say for most foam mattresses I test in the same protocol.

Third, I did a position rotation test, spending 15 minutes each on my back, side, and stomach before switching.

After each change I checked whether the newly occupied area of the mattress felt warm from the previous position or had already dissipated that heat. The grid structure handled this well — previously occupied areas returned to a neutral temperature within a few minutes, which is meaningfully faster than solid foam.

Fourth, I assessed breathability by pressing my palm into areas of the mattress where I had been lying for an extended period, checking for retained warmth or dampness. There was minimal retention on both counts.

The key functional detail is that the open cells in the grid stay open when you’re lying on them. Many foam cooling technologies work well when there’s no weight on them but compress under a body, blocking the airflow.

The grid flexes rather than compresses closed, so the ventilation pathways remain active while you sleep. That’s what makes the difference in sustained cooling performance, not just the initial cool-to-touch sensation.

The 9 out of 10 acknowledges that phase-change materials or natural latex will provide more aggressive temperature regulation for extreme hot sleepers. For the vast majority of people, including many who have struggled with heat on other foam mattresses, this will be more than sufficient.

Durability

The long-term concern with gel-grid mattresses has historically been that the grid structure degrades over time — it softens, develops permanent compression, and eventually loses the structural integrity that makes it perform well.

The mesh reinforcement woven into the grid layer is FORM’s answer to this. Rather than the grid being a standalone structure that can deform independently, the mesh locks it in place and distributes load more evenly across the surface.

How well this holds up over years of use is something that only time and long-term owner feedback can fully confirm, but the construction logic is sound.

The high-density foam foundation beneath the grid and transition layers is the other durability factor worth noting. This is the component that prevents the mattress from bottoming out or developing the bowl-shaped impressions that are common in cheaper all-foam designs.

High-density foam maintains its shape under repeated compression significantly better than low-density alternatives, and it’s the right choice for a base layer.

The CertiPUR-US certified foams also meet standards for long-term material integrity — the certification process tests for durability alongside chemical safety. Foams that pass these standards are less likely to break down prematurely or develop off-gassing issues as they age.

The lifetime warranty is the most direct signal of FORM’s confidence in how the mattress holds up. A brand offering lifetime coverage on a mattress is making a meaningful commitment.

I’d still recommend rotating the mattress regularly and using a protector, both of which extend the useful life of any foam mattress, but the underlying construction suggests this one is built to last.

Environmental Impact

FORM manufactures the Core in the USA, which reduces transportation distances and the associated environmental footprint compared to overseas production. Domestic manufacturing is also subject to stricter environmental regulations, which tends to result in better oversight of the production process.

The foams carry CertiPUR-US® certification, which means they’re made without ozone depleters, formaldehyde, heavy metals, certain flame retardants, and phthalates. They also have low VOC emissions for indoor air quality.

The mattress is fiberglass-free, which eliminates a common source of health and disposal concerns found in conventional mattresses.

GREENGUARD Gold and OEKO-TEX® certifications provide additional verification that the materials meet rigorous standards for chemical safety.

GREENGUARD Gold in particular is a meaningful credential because it certifies that emissions are within safe limits for sensitive environments, including schools and healthcare facilities.

There is room for improvement in end-of-life planning. Like most hybrid or foam mattresses, the FORM Core’s multi-material construction presents recycling challenges. I would encourage FORM to develop a mattress take-back or recycling program as the company scales.

For now, the environmental story is solid but not exceptional — strong on material safety and mattress certifications, with the usual limitations around end-of-life disposal that most mattress brands haven’t yet resolved.

Potential Drawbacks

No mattress is right for everyone, and I want to be direct about where the FORM Core has limitations.

Stomach sleepers, particularly those who are heavier or who spend the majority of the night face-down, may find that the medium-feel surface allows more midsection sinkage than is ideal for proper spinal alignment.

The mattress is genuinely well-suited for side and back sleepers, and occasional stomach sleeping is fine, but dedicated stomach sleepers would be better served by a firmer option.

The 10-inch profile is on the leaner side for sleepers over 230 pounds. The GelGrid™ and ContourFlex™ layers should perform well for average-weight sleepers, but heavier individuals may engage the support layers more deeply than intended, which can affect both pressure relief and long-term durability.

Sleepers who are accustomed to the deep “hug” feel of a traditional memory foam mattress may find the GelGrid™’s faster response time takes some adjustment. This is ultimately a feature rather than a flaw, but it’s worth noting for those who specifically seek a slow-conforming, enveloping feel.

Finally, as noted in the edge support section, sleepers with significant mobility limitations who rely heavily on the mattress perimeter for transitioning in and out of bed may find the edge somewhat less firm than a hybrid with reinforced perimeter coils.

This is a minor concern for most users, but relevant for a specific population.

Mattress Policies and Prices

The FORM Core is priced at $1399 for a queen in its current sale configuration, down from a regular price of $1799. That’s a strong price point for what the mattress delivers — a well-engineered GelGrid™ system with certified materials, solid construction, and a lifetime warranty.

I give the value proposition an 8 out of 10. The mattress earns its price, and at the sale price it’s particularly competitive within the gel-grid and foam-hybrid category.

The sleep trial stands at 365 nights, which is one of the most generous in the industry. Most brands offer 100 nights; a full year is exceptional. It gives you the ability to test the mattress across every season and through real changes in your sleep patterns, which is the only way to truly evaluate a sleep surface.

I give this a 10 out of 10. A year-long trial with no restocking fees is about as consumer-friendly as it gets in this category.

The lifetime warranty is comprehensive. FORM will cover defects in materials and craftsmanship for the life of the mattress. Shipping is free both ways, and FORM does not charge restocking fees for returns. The mattress ships within 5–7 business days and is available in twin XL, full, queen, king, and California king.

Care and Cleaning

FORM recommends using a mattress protector from day one to guard against spills, sweat, and skin oils. Because the AeroWeave™ Cover and GelGrid™ layer are the performance heart of this mattress, protecting the cover from liquid penetration and staining is the single most important maintenance step you can take.

Rotate the mattress 180 degrees every three to six months to ensure even wear and prevent body impressions from forming in a single area. The FORM Core should not be flipped, as the layered construction is designed to be used in a specific orientation with the comfort layers on top.

For spot cleaning, blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth. Use a small amount of mild soap diluted in cool water applied with a cloth — never directly to the mattress — and blot rather than rub. Allow the area to dry completely before replacing bedding.

Avoid saturating the surface, and never use harsh chemical cleaners or bleach, which can damage the GelGrid™ and foam materials.

Vacuum the surface quarterly with an upholstery attachment on low suction to remove dust and allergens. A mattress protector will significantly reduce how often this is necessary.

FAQs

Is the FORM Core good for hot sleepers?

Yes. The GelGrid™ cells stay open under pressure, so heat moves through the mattress rather than pooling around your body. In my testing it stayed noticeably cooler than traditional memory foam throughout the night, not just on first contact.

If heat has been your main complaint with foam mattresses, this one addresses it directly.

How does the GelGrid™ compare to traditional memory foam?

It responds faster, sleeps cooler, and doesn’t trap you when you move. The tradeoff is that it won’t give you that slow, sinking, enveloping sensation some people specifically want from memory foam. If that’s what you’re after, this won’t replicate it.

Is the FORM Core good for couples?

Motion isolation scored a 10 in my testing. Pressing down on one side produced almost no movement on the other. The Integra-Mesh™ reinforcement prevents the surface wobble that tends to transfer motion in other grid designs. If one of you moves around a lot at night, the other is unlikely to feel it.

How does the FORM Core compare to the FORM Core Hybrid?

The Core is all-foam with a softer, more conforming feel. The Hybrid adds a pocketed coil unit, which gives it more bounce, firmer edge support, and a more responsive feel underfoot. If you want deeper pressure relief at a lower price point, the Core. If you’re a heavier sleeper, sleep near the edge frequently, or want more lift and responsiveness, spend up for the Hybrid.

Does the FORM Core work on an adjustable base?

Yes. It’s compatible with platform beds, slatted frames, and adjustable bases. Keep slat spacing at 3 inches or less.

Who is the FORM Core not a good fit for?

Dedicated stomach sleepers, especially over 180 pounds, will likely find too much hip sinkage. Sleepers over 230 pounds may compress the support layers more than intended. And if you specifically love the slow, deep feel of traditional memory foam, the GelGrid™ feels meaningfully different.

How do I care for the FORM Core?

Use a mattress protector from day one. Rotate 180 degrees every three to six months. Don’t flip it. For spills, blot immediately and spot clean with mild soap and cool water on a cloth — not applied directly to the mattress. Let it dry completely before replacing bedding.

How does the FORM Core compare to the original Purple mattress?

Both use a gel grid as their primary comfort layer, but they feel different. FORM’s grid is reinforced with a mesh layer that firms up the surface and eliminates the wobble that is a common complaint with Purple. On motion isolation, FORM has a clear edge — the mesh reinforcement contains surface movement significantly better than Purple’s standard grid.

Conclusion

The FORM Core is a well-built, well-priced all-foam mattress that earns its 9 out of 10 overall score. The GelGrid™ + Integra-Mesh™ system is genuinely innovative — it’s not just a marketing distinction. The reinforced grid addresses the stability and motion transfer weaknesses that have historically affected gel-grid mattresses, and the result is a sleep surface that performs at a high level across every category I test.

Motion isolation is exceptional, cooling is strong, edge support is above average for its construction type, and the 365-night trial and lifetime warranty make the purchase essentially risk-free. At its sale price, it’s one of the better values in the foam mattress segment.

I recommend the FORM Core to side sleepers, back sleepers, hot sleepers, and couples who want to minimize partner disturbance.

If you’re a dedicated stomach sleeper, a heavier sleeper over 230 pounds, or someone who specifically wants the deep enveloping feel of traditional memory foam, take the trial period seriously and evaluate whether the GelGrid™ feel suits you.

For tech-minded individuals who view sleep as an investment in performance and health — this is a mattress worth trying.

EachNight Fact-Checking Standards and Processes

The EachNight writing team is devoted to creating articles that are not only entertaining and easy to understand but also as impartial, accurate, and well-sourced as possible. Whenever possible, we strive to have our articles fact-checked by our independent review board. We also do not tolerate plagiarism or ill intent from our contributors.

Here are the medical and factual guidelines that a EachNight article must adhere to:

  • We draw upon only reputable and respectable sources when researching our articles’ topics and endeavor to only link to highly authoritative sources. Such sources would include peer-reviewed medical and academic journals, medical and academic associations in good standing, and interviews with or blog posts from certified medical professionals.
  • We may link to news articles or peer-reviewed medical blog posts about studies when appropriate, but always attempt to connect directly to the studies these pages discuss.
  • Our scientific information, conclusions, and analysis are always supported by at least one reputable source.
  • We strive to make any potential conflicts of interest attached to any studies or sources clear to our readers. When applicable, we also try to include conflicting research or questions that may throw a study’s conclusion into doubt to clarify that scientific understandings often change and progress over time.
  • Our articles typically link to other articles and resources on our site. This is solely for easier navigation, and we do not promote our website as a medical resource. Try to speak with your physician if you have medical concerns.
  • Any necessary background information on a topic will be included when appropriate.
  • Our goal is for every one of our medical-related articles to be reviewed by our independent board of experts. Should they spot any medical or health-related misinformation or errors, we will strike it out from the final published article.

What’s a Certified Sleep Coach?

Our writers are sleep coaches certified by the Spencer Institute, which has been training coaches since 1992. Becoming a certified sleep coach means that our writers are well-versed in various sleep science matters, taking us beyond being just a group of mattress reviewers. The certification allows us an in-depth understanding of what we’re talking about when it comes to advising readers on better sleep habits.
