Shawna Robins is a #1 Amazon bestselling author, graduate of the Institute of Integrative Nutrition (IIN), a national board-certified health and wellness coach, and the visionary creator of Kaia Health and Wellness. With five years of experience in the field, Shawna has dedicated her life to helping others achieve optimal health and wellness.

Before embarking on her wellness journey, Shawna worked as a TV reporter for Ventura County News Network, a public relations director for the Scleroderma Research Foundation, a founding partner for Paradise Investments, LLC, and a public relations manager for Equator, LLC. Today, she is the CEO of Kaia Health and Wellness, an organization she founded to promote holistic well-being.

Shawna holds a BA in Journalism from the University of Washington and is a certified health coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN). She is also a national board-certified health & wellness coach (NBHWC) who specializes in functional nutrition and hormone health.

As an innovative leader in her field, Shawna has authored two best-selling books and has spoken for renowned organizations such as Lumen Technologies, Zayo, and the Women in Tech Conference. She sits on the Advisory Board of JourneyWoman, a global community of over 65,000 female solo travelers aged 50 and above.

Mentorship and collaboration are integral aspects of Shawna’s career. She works closely with other coaches, offering support and feedback, and has developed a sleep and menopause program to assist women who feel unheard by their doctors. Through JourneyWoman, Shawna leads women-only wellness adventure retreats around the world, with upcoming events in Morocco and Fiji.

Shawna’s commitment to staying current with the latest developments and research in her field is evident in her journalistic background and her plans to write a third book. Her client-centered approach to coaching focuses on providing a safe, non-judgmental environment where clients can explore the changes they need to make in their lives.

To create sustainable change, Shawna utilizes the “Circle of Life” coaching tool to help clients evaluate various aspects of their well-being. She teaches clients the importance of nourishing their bodies with both primary (the food they eat) and secondary (their lifestyle) food sources.

Shawna is actively involved in professional communities such as the NBHWC, JourneyWoman Advisory Board, IIN alumni, UW alumni groups, and a local charity called Women For Good. To support Alzheimer’s and Brain Health Awareness Month, Shawna donates all proceeds from her book, Powerful Sleep, to the Alzheimer’s Association during the month of June.
